As is the recent trend with many of the fashion trends as of late, you will see that there are a number of different designers that are relying on inspiration from the past to provide designs for now. Many of the current trends have their influence coming from many different decades including the 50’s, 60’s and the 70’s. All of these offer something different and unique that is incorporated into the current trends. Many of the spring collections out there have a large influence from the 70’s in them.
What you are looking for and what the fashion world says you should wear hopefully will somewhere meet in the middle. Each person has their own tastes and will put their own twists on the new designs that are out there. However, that does not mean that there should not be attention to detail and willingness to incorporate many different designs into one to be able to find the perfect look for you.
Yes it is a good idea to look at what is being dictated by the world of fashion, but you also need to look at your checkbook and realize what you can and cannot do in as far as updating your wardrobe. That does not mean you cannot look good and be up to date, however, you may need to be creative and instinctive. You may even have some of the clothes that are inspiring today’s trends lying around. If this is the case, you may be able to break these out and use them to give you the look you want without spending a lot.
Yes, it is good to look up to date, but you also need to look sensible and be comfortable in what you are wearing. If you are simply buying something because someone says you should, that does not do a lot of good for anyone involved. It is not only about how much you spend, but in the way you wear it as well. Simply having the clothes, does not mean you will make them look good.
